Assemble your team and work together to claim victory!
Overwatch 2's Lunar New Year event has brought back three game modes! When you visit the in-game arcade, you can choose from the Bounty Hunter, Capture the Flag (CTF) Blitz, or regular CTF modes. This particular guide is all about how Overwatch 2 CTF Blitz works and how to claim victory.
Overwatch 2 CTF Blitz explained
CTF Blitz in Overwatch 2 is a fast-paced game mode where two teams of five players duke it out against each other. At the same time, each team must work together to capture the enemy flag multiple times and bring it back to their own base.
You can select from any of the Overwatch 2 heroes in this game mode. This means you're free to go with any combination of tank, damage, and support heroes.
In terms of the available CTF Blitz maps, they include Oasis City Center, Oasis University, Busan Sanctuary, Ilios Well, Ilios Ruins, and Nepal Village.

To win Overwatch 2 CTF Blitz, your team must capture the enemy team's flag a total of six times. Coordinate with your team so that someone can pick up the enemy flag and start carrying it back to your team's base. You can protect the player carrying the flag or even distract the enemy's backline. Note that the flag drops upon elimination.
Don't forget to guard your own flag and take down any enemies carrying your flag back to their base as well. The flag bases in CTF Blitz are closer to each other compared to the regular version of CTF. Therefore, use common routes and your surroundings to your advantage, predict where your enemies are approaching from, and coordinate your attacks.
Another point to note is that the spawn time in CTF Blitz is immediate! This means it's key to jump right back into the fray upon elimination. After capturing the enemy six times, your team wins the match.
