Will Hanzo headshots return in Overwatch 2?

According to Noh, Hanzo is still effective in terms of mid-range burst damage despite his lack of one-shot kills. Additionally, thanks to Overwatch 2 Season 9's projectile size updates, players had better Hanzo stats.

"I do hear you on the loss of how good the one shot kills felt, but an overarching goal of [Season] 9 was to reduce a lot of those burst damage frustrations for players on the receiving end of it," Noh continued, adding that the armor changes in Overwatch 2 Season 10 helped with Hanzo's damage.

Can Hanzo still do one-shot headshots?

Noh revealed that the Overwatch 2 team has been in the very early stages of experimenting with health pool adjustments as well. These experiments pertain to heroes who are evasive or deal high damage, "which would also put them back into the range of lethal Hanzo headshots and some other hero combos at 225 HP."

However, the lead balance designer then noted that overall, there would be a bunch of other problems to solve if they go through with this.
