Overwatch 2 just dropped a huge update, which includes multiple nerfs and even the new damage hero Freja being added to Stadium. Here is everything you need to know about Overwatch 2's recent update.

Freja added to Stadium in new Overwatch 2 update

The most recent Overwatch 2 update, which was released on May 20, 2025, adds the popular hero, Freja, to Stadium. Stadium is a newer game mode in Overwatch 2 that puts players on a team of five and has them compete in a best-of-seven (bo7) battle.

However, not every hero joined Stadium upon its release.

Since Stadium's release, many have called for the crossbow-wielding hero, Freja, to be included in the game mode. Now, with Overwatch 2's newest update, Freja finally finds herself in the game mode.

Not only is Freja now in Stadium, but she also got a plethora of new powers that are only available within the five-versus-five (5v5) game mode.

All Freja Stadium powers

  • Cyclone:
    • When you use Updraft, fire a Take Aim bolt at your crosshair.
  • Seekerpoint:
    • When Take Aim bolt sticks an enemy, automatically fire three additional crossbow shots at them that deal 66% reduced damage.
  • Seismic Shot:
    • Take Aim explosion radius is increased by 33%. Double this if the bolt is stuck to a target.
  • Thread the Needle:
    • Take Aim bolts pierce enemies. Additional explosions deal 66% reduced damage.
  • Deep Pockets:
    • When you use an ability, restore 50% of your Max Ammo.
  • Forager:

  • Peak Performance:

  • Redux:
    • Revdraw Crossbow hits against targets struck by a Take Aim bolt or Bola Shot, reduces your abilities' cooldown by 5%, and refunds one ammo.

  • Mighty Gust:
    • Updraft launches a wind blast toward your crosshair, knocking back enemies and dealing 40 ability damage.

While Freja's new abilities look promising, it will be a day or two before Overwatch 2 fans really know how overpowered she is or not.
