New Loverwatch, new romances! Here’s everything we know about this Overwatch 2 dating simulator!
Overwatch 2's original Loverwatch game came out in 2023 and won the hearts of many players as they tried to romance Genji, Mercy, or Hanzo. However, the latest edition of Loverwatch adds even more heroes to the roster! Read on for the new Overwatch 2 Loverwatch trailer and everything we know about it so far!
New Overwatch 2 Loverwatch trailer and event
According to reports, there's a new Loverwatch event and trailer that's exclusive to China. Our translation of the Chinese characters in the artwork also confirms this. Loverwatch in 2025 includes dashing artwork of Genji, Juno, Mauga, D.Va, Lifeweaver, Junker Queen, and Cassidy. It appears that these heroes also have different outfits for the day and night, perhaps indicating different date scenarios.
The trailer itself can be seen below. It features a catchy song called "爱情公寓" or "My Future." It's from the Chinese romantic comedy "爱情公寓," which translates to "Love Apartment." It's also known as "iPartment."

As noted, this new Loverwatch event is currently only available via China's server. Access to it, according to Libtan90, requires specific identity verification and a phone number. Libtan90 also shared a bunch of the Loverwatch screenshots on social media.
Overwatch 2 Loverwatch spoilers
There's a screenshot from Genji's new Lovewatch route as well. Our Chinese translation of the text indicates that certain choices make Genji blush and increase his level of affection. Genji also recalls training with Hanzo and talks about how he's okay with his big brother leading the Shimada clan.
Our Japanese translation of Libtan90's comments indicate something similar. Perhaps this means reconciliation between them since Genji has cybernetics in the screenshot. For context, Hanzo gravely injured Genji in a fight a long time ago.
For fans of the Shimada brothers, Genji also goes into how he's always been near Hanzo. If only the elder would turn back and notice him. One of their current interactions in Overwatch 2 references this somewhat. In it, Genji says, "It was not easy living in your shadow" and Hanzo replies, "I would have preferred you at my side."
