Ramattra is available in Overwatch 2 starting on Dec. 6. Here’s how to get him.
Ramattra is the newest playable hero to arrive in Overwatch 2. He's a tempo tank with two forms. Read on for a quick guide on how to unlock Ramattra in Overwatch 2.
How to get Ramattra in Overwatch 2
The tank hero can be unlocked starting Dec. 6, which is the Overwatch 2 Season 2 release date. You can unlock Ramattra right away using the Season 2 Premium Battle Pass.
Much like Season 1, the Premium Battle Pass for Season 2 is available for purchase via the Battle.net shop for 1,000 Overwatch Coins. The equivalent of 1,000 Overwatch Coins is about $10 USD. When you visit the Battle.net page on your logged-in account, it will automatically tell you the price in your local currency.
How to unlock Ramattra for free
To unlock Ramattra for free in Overwatch 2, you have to reach tier 45 during Season 2 of the game. Tier 45 is included in the basic version of the Battle Pass. This basic version is free at the start of Overwatch 2 Season 2. Reaching tier 45 requires gaining enough experience points through in-game Challenges. This means players have to grind to unlock the character.
Similar to how Kiriko can be unlocked for free in the new season, if you happen to miss out on getting Ramattra in Season 2, then you won't be out of luck. Ramattra will likely be available to unlock via the Challenge for him once Season 3 hits.

Tempo tank abilities in Overwatch 2 Season 2
In Overwatch 2, Ramattra is a tank hero who can change forms as part of his core kit. Described as a "tempo tank," he has his Omnic form and Nemesis form. He also arrives in Season 2 with a new map.
In his Omnic form, Ramattra uses his Void Accelerator staff. This weapon has primary and secondary abilities. The primary one fires projectiles for poke damage. Meanwhile, the secondary ability, known as Void Barrier, is a temporary barrier that he can place at a chosen location to protect his teammates.
As for Ramattra's Nemesis form, it features him bulking up with two extra arms and gaining armor. The arms are his weapons in Nemesis mode. While Pummel is a short-range wave that does a piercing attack through enemy shields, Block makes Ramattra put his arms in front of himself to reduce damage from enemies. Block also slows Ramattra's movement speed and is useful from the front.
The new Overwatch 2 tank can also use Ravenous Vortex, which is available to both of his forms. This attack features a projectile that bounces off enemies, walls and surfaces like roofs. When activated via hitting the floor, Ravenous Vortex slows enemies, pulls them down and deals damage.
Ramattra's ultimate is Annihilation. When used, he goes into Nemesis mode and deals constant damage to enemies within the radius of its energy swarm.
