We have yet another Overwatch 2 One Punch Man skin reveal, this time for everyone’s favorite emo ninja, Genji!
The deluge of collab info continues as Blizzard revealed yet another Overwatch 2 One Punch Man skin today. Showcased via the PlayStation Blog, Overwatch 2 Associate Product Director Aimee Dennett showcased the new skin for Genji, turning the cyberninja into Genos from the OPM franchise. This comes days after the reveal of a Kiriko as Terrible Tornado skin bundle.
While the Doomfist/One Punch Man skin is still a mystery, the blog post by Dennett highlights the team's design philosophy for Overwatch 2's first major collab.
Overwatch 2 One Punch Man: Genji edition
The development team clearly love anime, as all of the revealed Overwatch 2 One Punch Man skin reveals have so far talked about the team's inspirations. "Much like our player base, we have fun thinking about crossovers and similarities shared between characters from our favorite shows," says Dennett in the PlayStation Blog post. "Doomfist and Saitama were a very natural fit in our minds, given their abilities. They’re also both bald. It doesn’t hurt that our game director Aaron Keller is also a big One-Punch Man fan."
Aesthetically, the two characters are a perfect match given their tragic backstory and cyborg body parts. Apparently, this also created issues when trying to turn Genji into Demos while still keeping both heroes present.
"Genos’s spiky blonde hair was an interesting challenge, the closer we matched the style the more we lost Genji in the process," she said. "Our concept artists were careful to combine the two heroes’ main aesthetics without losing either character in the process."

Is this new Overwatch 2 One Punch Man skin a bundle? While the blog avoids saying as much, the revealed picture says otherwise. The above screenshot seems to indicate a bundle containing the skin, plus a player card. Here's hoping that the Doomfist skin is one you can earn. Otherwise this very cool collab could become costly in a hurry.
