Resident Evil’s Ada, Jill and Claire join NIKKE in Reborn Evil event

Resident Evil’s iconic heroines Ada Wong, Jill Valentine, and Claire Redfield are joining Goddess of Victory: NIKKE in the Reborn Evil collab. The crossover brings a horror-themed story, exclusive SSR units, and a web event ahead of its Sept. 24 release.

Three of Resident Evil’s most iconic heroines - Ada Wong, Jill Valentine, and Claire Redfield - are joining Goddess of Victory: NIKKE in a new collaboration event, Reborn Evil. The latest crossover brings a horror-themed story to Shift Up’s sci-fi shooter, along with an interactive web event already live for players.

The collab adds Resident Evil themed exclusive skins only obtainable during the event, similar to the 2B and A2 skins from the NieR: Automata collab from 2023. The crossover comes just six months before the release of Resident Evil 9.

NIKKE x Resident Evil

The NIKKE x Resident Evil collaboration will drop in-game on Sept. 24. While it might seem out of the blue, the next instalment in the Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil 9 Requiem, is set for release on Feb. 26, 2026 across console and PC.

Unlike past collabs, Shift Up did not drip tease any content on social media but did a full reveal for the Resident Evil collab all at once.

Instead, they've launched a web event live on the NIKKE website called Classified: Track the NEO-Virus which runs up until the launch.

In the web event you'll investigate a NEO-Virus incident at a mysterious mansion. By analysing images and looking for clues, you'll find the truth. Complete the investigation in the web event to be rewarded with three Recruit Vouchers before the Reborn Evil update goes live.

Confirmed Resident Evil x NIKKE content includes three new SSR NIKKE characters exclusive to the event; Jill Valentine, Ada Wong and Claire Redfield and a new in-game story event entitled Salvation Through The Crimson Flame. Make sure to claim your September 2025 NIKKE Codes.

Based on the trailer and artwork, Salvation Through The Crimson Flame will also include appearances from existing NIKKE's Poli, D.Wife, Quiry and Miranda.

Jill Valentine new SSR NIKKE

Jill Valentine was the last SSR Resident Evil NIKKE revealed, yet she is considered one of the faces of the Resident Evil franchise. Jill Valentine first appeared in Resident Evil (1996) as one of the two main playable characters.

Jill Valentine was also the lead in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, which is where her blue tank top SSR NIKKE outfit is from. When it comes to heroines in survival horror games, they don't get much bigger than Jill Valentine. In terms of weapon type, Jill Valentine could be similar to Neon who wields dual pistols but is classed as an SMG character.

Ada Wong new SSR NIKKE

Ada Wong made her debut in Resident Evil 2 (RE2), and is the collab character thats fits the best into the NIKKE universe. Ada Wong is also known for her elegance, cunning and for being morally ambiguous.

Her trademark outfit is a red dress, which Shift Up have reproduced beautifully. In her official NIKKE artwork, Ada Wong is holding a crossbow which was her weapon of choice in RE2, making it very likely she will be a Sniper NIKKE.

Claire Redfield new SR NIKKE

Claire Redfield isn't military trained but she's a compassionate action heroine who caught on quick how to survive. Claire made her debut in Resident Evil 2, and has made six appearances in mainline and spin-off games.

In the Resident Evil universe she is a protector of others, making it almost certain she will be a support character in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. Based on the Classified: Neo-Virus web event artwork we know Claire will be a Shotgun NIKKE. Surprisingly, Claire is only an SR NIKKE not an SSR.

The NIKKE x Resident Evil collaboration marks another major crossover for Shift Up, and a perfect fit given the strong female leads in the horror franchise. Players can dive into the web event now ahead of the full update on Sept. 24.
