The answer is not what you might expect.
The relentless superhero John “Homelander” Gillman of The Boys, an Amazon Prime show, is on a collision course with Mortal Kombat 1. NetherRealm Studios creative director Ed Boon recently began teasing the character on X, but one question remained: who will Homelander's voice actor be in Mortal Kombat 1? Although we may not have an accurate answer, we know who won’t be voicing him.
Who is the Mortal Kombat 1 Homelander voice actor?
Many fans initially believed that Chris Cox, who voiced Terminator in Mortal Kombat 11, had taken the reins of Homelander for Mortal Kombat 1. However, a recent tweet from American actor and voice actor Jake Green confirmed he provided the voice work for The Boys' villain. Green has previously voiced characters in Starfield, Spider-Man 2, and various other games.
This puts the rest any indication that Antony Starr, the New Zealand actor who portrays Homelander in The Boys, did not voice the character despite doing the voice work for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.

Why didn't Antony Starr voice Homelander?
It's unclear what unfolded behind the scenes during Mortal Kombat 1's development that led to Antony Starr not being Homelander's voice actor. Although the game uses his facial likeness, Starr has repeatedly stated that he is not involved in Mortal Kombat 1.
According to a comment on the actor's Instagram account, he was open to it, but it seems a deal could not be reached. It's a bizarre outcome, considering John Cena and J.K. Simmons provided voice work for Peacemaker and Omni-Man. Neither side has confirmed whether it was a money issue or came down to creative differences, and we may never know.
In Starr's place, Jake Green stepped into the role of Homelander as the voice actor for the character's intro dialogues.
