“You are about to be humbled.”

Omni Man will invade the Mortal Kombat 1 roster in one week. NetherRealm Studios confirmed the November 9 release date in the recent Mortal Kombat 1 Omni Man extended gameplay trailer. With that, the character from the Invincible series will be the first of six primary characters and five Kameos in Kombat Pack 1.

The new Omni Man gameplay dropped this morning, showcasing the sheer brutality that comes along with the Viltrumite. Here is what we learned in the extended Mortal Kombat 1 Omni Man preview.

Omni Man dodges, teleports, and grabs his way to victory in Mortal Kombat 1

There is no shortage of versatility in Omni Man’s Mortal Kombat 1 move set. The footage indicated that the character possesses a teleport and a unique enhanced move where he can dodge his opponent’s attacks.

Omni-Man: Think, what good would your death accomplish?

Raiden: Inspiring future generations to oppose you!

Omni Man’s moves include grappling attacks, allowing him to deal damage and extend combos. His air combos stood out, particularly with the assist from the Tremor Kameo. Omni Man also has an attack that stretches full screen and pops the enemy up for a combo.

Omni-Man: I highly doubt a blind swordsman can kill me.

Kenshi: Cento and I are more than meets the eye.

Overall, the character offers a mixed bag, but he looks effective at close range. While the damage values are unknown, Omni Man may jump to the Mortal Kombat 1 top tier upon his November 9 release date.

Before moving forward, we cannot ignore the brutality displayed in Omni Man’s Mortal Kombat 1 Fatal Blow and Fatality. First, the Fatal Blow, which seems to hit twice, begins with Tremor smashing Kung Lao’s face with a giant boulder. Then, Omni Man ends it with a tackle into the ground and a barrage of punches.

Finally, the Fatality displayed in the trailer pays homage to the source material, where Omni Man annihilates an enemy using a train. The Mortal Kombat 1 finisher offers the best of both worlds, utilizing Omni Man’s train attack but in the familiar Subway setting from Mortal Kombat 3.

What does Tremor bring to the table?

Like in the first look, Tremor backs up Omni Man once again. We learned a bit more about the fan-favorite Earth-manipulating ninja, who utilizes three distinct stylea bases on the trailer. His attacks offer variety, including ground-pound, push-away, pop-up, and fireball attacks.

Fans got a look at Tremor’s Fatality as well, which is something out of Indiana Jones’ nightmares.

There is a lot to like about Tremor based on the Mortal Kombat 1 Omni Man gameplay trailer, but it is too early to sense where he will fall in the Kameo tier list. Tremor launches November 20 in early access.
