MK1 Invasions allows you to “Travel the Mortal Kombat realms fighting each season’s invasions in an all-new single player experience.”

Mortal Kombat 1 launches September 29, 2023, and up until this point, the various game modes largely remained a mystery. However, the back of the game’s box has leaked in Spanish. This moment led many to translate the findings, and we now have more insight into the Mortal Kombat 1 new single player mode, dubbed "Invasions."

Mortal Kombat 1 “Invasions” mode is a throwback to the 3D era

The details are murky, but the information indicates a new single player game mode called “Invasions.” According to the translation, Invasions allows players to “Travel the Mortal Kombat realms fighting each season’s invasions in an all-new single player experience.”

Based on the screenshot and description, Mortal Kombat 1’s Invasions mode is a callback to the Konquest mode from Mortal Kombat: Deception. In the second 3D era installment, players could control Shujinko in an RPG game mode to complete missions and advance to new areas.

Konquest also mode enabled players to unlock items, including characters, alternate outfits, concept art, and more. While MK1’s Invasions might not be identical to Konquest, it’s the closest comparison we have to date.

With only 50 days remaining until the worldwide launch, we expect more details regarding Mortal Kombat 1 Invasions and more to surface.
