Developer Digital Eclipse has opened pre-orders and revealed all three Editions for the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection!
More details regarding the upcoming Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection have begun to emerge ahead of EVO 2025. Developer Digital Eclipse has revealed three Editions players can pre-order between Aug. 1 and Aug. 31 ahead of the game's currently unknown release date.
While rumors indicate the Legacy Kollection will launch on Sept. 29, Digital Eclipse has yet to confirm this date. This article outlines everything you need to know about the various Editions available, including what's included and their respective costs.
All Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection Editions explained
Like Mortal Kombat 1, the Legacy Kollection offers three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Kollector's.
Standard Edition ($49.99)
Standard is self-explanatory at $49.99, including only the base game. However, anyone who pre-orders the Standard version can choose one of four ninja-themed slipcovers to give it a visual appeal.

Those slipcovers include Scorpion Gold, Reptile Green, Smoke Black, and Sub-Zero Blue, as depicted in the images above. It's unclear whether the higher-priced version will feature these slipcovers.
Deluxe Edition ($69.99)
Next is the Deluxe Edition, which offers more than you might expect at $69.99. Those who purchase the Deluxe version will receive a steelbook case, magnet, poster, lenticular card, arcade flyers, and mini-marquees. The value is there at just over $70 with taxes, especially for Mortal Kombat collectors.

Kollector's Edition ($149.99)
Finally, we have the most robust of all the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection Editions. The Kollector's Edition has it all, but it will cost you $149.99. That might be a stretch for some, considering this is only a compendium of the classic games.
However, it's hard to ignore the Goro controller holder, which is the clear standout addition to this Edition. The jury is still out on this item's quality, but its aesthetic draws from the Shokan's appearance in the first game.
On top of the Goro controller holder, Kollector's Edition owners will also receive a commemorative arcade token with display stand, a Scorpion / Sub-Zero Pin Set, and a hardcover art and lore book.
How can I pre-order the Legacy Kollection?
In addition to the announcement that Mortal Kombat: Trilogy would be included in the Legacy Kollection, Digital Eclipse revealed that pre-orders for the physical game are now available. You can head to the Atari website, where you can pre-order any of the three Editions for the following platforms:
- Nintendo Switch
- Nintendo Switch 2
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox One Series X/S
- Stram (digital only)
As mentioned earlier, the game's release date is still technically a mystery. However, it is likely that the Legacy Kollection drops sometime in September, considering the "leaks" and pre-order period.
