At stake will be the final four spots in SPS Brawl Stars World Finals 2024.
Gamescom 2024 will feature the Snapdragon Pro Series (SPS) Brawl Stars Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ). This announcement was just made live in the middle of Brawl Stars Championship 2024 during the June finals for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. As part of the SPS Brawl Stars Championship 2024 circuit, this LCQ event will be delivered by ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) and Qualcomm Technologies Inc. alongside Brawl Stars developer Supercell.
SPS Brawl Stars Championship 2024: SPS Brawl Stars LCQ at gamescom
Between Aug. 24 and Aug. 25, the SPS Brawl Stars Championship LCQ 2024 event will happen live at gamescom in Cologne, Germany. The tournament will showcase the top 12 teams from Asia Pacific (APAC), EMEA, South America (SA), North America (NA), and China (CN).
At stake will be the remaining four seats in SPS Brawl Stars World Finals 2024. Teams will also be duking it out for a share of the circuit's total prize pool of up to $2 million USD.
"Gamescom is an iconic moment for the gaming industry, and we’re proud to be returning to the event for the third year in a row in partnership with Supercell," Sam Braithwaite, the vice president of mobile game ecosystems at EFG, said.
Braithwaite continued, adding that the Brawl Stars Championship 2024 LCQ event will represent esports storylines of underdogs fighting for a spot on the world stage. The tournament will also celebrate "how mobile's accessibility can be a path to the highest level of pro play."

The competition will also transform Hall 8 of the gamescom 2024 venue into a spot for partner booths, meet-ups, activities, and more. For example, visitors will be able to play different games, earn tickets, and redeem prizes. They will also get to design an SPS jersey.
Kim Jensen, head of Brawl Stars esports at Supercell, commented on the venue and location, noting that the LCQ at gamescom 2024 will bring one of Germany's most popular mobile games to a passionate audience.
“We’re looking forward to sharing this pivotal moment on the road to the Brawl Stars World Finals with hundreds of thousands of attendees,” Jensen added.
According to the Newzoo May 2024 report about the global games market, Germany has over 33 million mobile gamers. Additionally, 5 million of these gamers are active Brawl Stars players.
