The MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI) 2023 Finals are here as a LAN event in Indonesia. Who will become the champion?

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Womens Invitational (MWI) 2023 is entering its final stage. After an intense group stage and one-half of the Playoffs, only four teams are left in the MWI 2023 to battle it out for the title of champions.

The MWI is taking place as a LAN event for the first time in 2023. It featured 10 female-only teams from across SEA. Now, only four are remaining. These four teams will be making their way down to the Summarecon Mall Bekasi in Indonesia to battle it out for the champions and a share of the $30,000 prize pool.

MWI 2023: Everything you need to know

The remaining four teams will compete across a semifinal and the grand finals to determine the best all-female MLBB team in SEA.

The fixtures are as follows:

  • Bigetron Era (Indonesia) vs. Risk Velkhana (The Philippines)
  • GPX Basreng (Indonesia) vs. Omega Empress (The Philippines)

The winner of each match will face off in the finals. Bigetron Era and GPX Basreng are both the favorites to win their respective matches and compete in an all-Indonesia final.

Besides having the boost of a home crowd, both teams have been in sublime form throughout the MWI 2023. They topped their respective groups without dropping a single game and won their quarterfinal games as well 2-0.

Bigetron Era are also the defending champions and are looking to become a two-time winner at the MWI 2023.

MOONTON will live-streamed all the matches from 12 PM (GMT +7) onwards in English and Indonesian. Players can catch the action on the MLBB esports YouTube, Facebook, or Tiktok channels.

MLBB MWI is the most-watched all-female esports tournament

All-female esports tournaments are important to give a platform to female gamers to hone their skills and develop as players. While many developers are known to host all-female tournaments, there isn’t any other game in the world which pulls as many viewers as MLBB.

The MWI 2022 is an example of this. The tournament achieved a peak viewership of 392,405, per Esports Charts, which represented the highest figure for an all-female esports tournament to date. The average viewership stood at an impressive 57,607.

With the 2023 edition of the MWI featuring a bigger prize pool and a LAN event, MLBB could be on its way to setting a new record.
