A new Monster Hunter game, Monster Hunter Outlanders, is reportedly coming soon on mobile. A one-minute official announcement trailer launched on YouTube on Nov. 13, garnering over 1 million views in a day.
Originally released in 2004, Monster Hunter has grown into a big hit with players worldwide. Since the series debuted, the series has sold over 100 million units by May 2024, with almost half of the sales attributed to World, Rise and their associated expansions.
What is Monster Hunter Outlanders?
Monster Hunter Outlanders is an open-world Survival game set in the Monster Hunter universe. Here are some key gameplay features stated by the developers:
- Exploration: Explore and survive unique regions of an open-world map featuring natural environments, ecosystems and monsters.
- Crafting: Craft and build individualized gear and tools.
- Hunting: Partake in the traditional hunting experience where you can play solo or join a hunting party of up to four.

Who developed the game?
Monster Hunter Outlanders is developed by Capcom in collaboration with Tencent's TiMi Studio Group. TiMi Studio Group brings extensive experience in popular mobile games, including Age of Empires Mobile, Pokémon Unite, Call of Duty: Mobile, and Honor of Kings.
This is not the first Monster Hunter game to be released on iOS and/or Android. Previously, there were Monster Hunter Dynamic Hunting (2011), Monster Hunter Explore (2015), and Monster Hunter Riders (2020), and Monster Hunter Now (2023).
When will the game launch?
Unfortunately, there is still no official date for the global launch of the game, as the official website only announce it as "Coming Soon on Mobile" with little to no further information.
