Filipino world champions ECHO have made a decision on the M4 World Champion skin and have selected Chou to get it.
ECHO claimed the title of the MLBB M4 World Championship after taking down Blacklist International in the grand finals last month. They walked away as world champions, a coveted trophy, and with $300,000 in their pocket. However, just like past world champions – they have been given one more privilege – to select a hero to get an M4 champion skin. The team has now made that decision.
MOONTON and ECHO will co-create M4 World Championship skin for Chou
The M4 world champions have officially selected Chou, who was initially based on legendary martial artist Bruce Lee, as the hero to get the skin. Chou is a fast-paced fighter hero and currently boasts the most skins in the game. Now, one more skin is being added to that list.
ECHO’s country manager Mitch Liwanag said that the team unanimously decided to choose Chou.
"The team has unanimously decided to develop a skin for Chou. Apart from it being the hero that almost all of our team members use, it has also played a big part in our team’s success in the tournament. We’re excited and glad to work with MOONTON Games who has been attentive and collaborative when it comes to our ideas."
MOONTON said that it is currently in talks with ECHO to develop the in-game skin. The Chou M4 World Champion skin will be released in September 2023.
"We hope our fans are as excited as we are to see the new skin. After all, we dedicate the skin to Orcas who have been with us through the years."
M5 World Championship is headed to the Philippines
It’s set to be an exciting year for ECHO and Filipino fans. The team will have the chance to defend their title at home during the M5 World Championship. MOONTON has confirmed that the competition will be held in the Philippines in 2023. The tournament will take place in November and December.
For now, alongside developing the M4 champion skin, ECHO will next be seen in action in week two of the MLBB MPL PH Season 11. The team will be up against ONIC on Feb. 25 in the ongoing regular season of the franchised league.
