Only eight teams remain following the end of M5 Group Stage,

The M5 Group Stage concludes with eight teams bowing out of the championship and eight advancing to the Knockout Stage. The brutal Group Stage saw two regions wiped out from M5 with LATAM and Malaysian teams bombing out early. To no one's surprise, the two regional powerhouses, Philippines and Indonesia, still have all their teams in contention.

All remaining teams in M5

  • FireFlux Esports
  • Deus Vult
  • ONIC Esports
  • Blacklist International
  • AP.Bren
  • See You Soon
  • Geek Fam ID
  • Burmese Ghouls

During the M5 Group Stage, powerhouses like ONIC Esports and AP.Bren were flawless with a final score of 3-0. It was no surprise to see ONIC and AP.Bren's dominance. They are arguably the best team in the world right now with consecutive tournament victories. AP.Bren also recently claimed victory in the Mobile Legends Pro League (MPL) Philippines - one of the most competitive regions in Mobile Legends.

Group B sees interesting results with Turkish dark horse, Fire Flux Esports, leading the way. The former-Incendio Supremacy-lineup bested Filipino's Blacklist International 2-0, though suffered defeat against the now-eliminated RRQ Akira.

The M5 Group Stage also sees the rise of Indonesia's GeekFam ID. This team has been interesting to follow as it slowly builds momentum throughout the season. However, its road to glory may now seem bleak following a two-match suspension penalty to its jungler, Nnael. The 17-year-old prodigy was penalized after he taunted middle-fingers during their game against Deus Vult.

Burmese Ghouls barely made it into the Knockout Stage, with a very slight difference in score to the bottom two of Group C. They now have a chance of recreating their success during M2.

All teams eliminated from M5 Group Stage

  • Triple Esports
  • Bigetron Sons
  • Team SMG
  • RRQ Akira
  • Team Flash
  • Team Lilgun
  • HomeBois
  • TheOhioBrothers

As eight teams advance to the Knockout Stage, another eight suffered elimination heartbreaks. The M5 Group Stage initially witnessed the entire Latin America (LATAM) region losing its light in the tournament. Both Bigetron Sons and RRQ Akira couldn't make it out of their groups.

Malaysia also sees a massive upset. The region has been one of the most concentrated Mobile Legends competitive region. However, its journey in the M5 World Championship came to an end faster than expected.

Both HomeBois and Team SMG departed their Groups in third place. This is even more heartbreaking as this may be Xorn's final tournament. The veteran player has been considering retirement to focus on his family but he also entertains the thought of continuing for one more year.
