Eventually, the Malaysian team, SRG, stood victorious, while TLPH will have to fight their way in Round 4 to score a slot in the next stage of the tournament.

SRG outplays TLPH to lock in M7 knockout stage spot

The titans of Philippine MLBB esports, TLPH, suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of SRG in Round 3 of the M7 Swiss Stage. The match served as a direct battle for a knockout stage slot, raising the stakes for both teams.
TLPH won the first game of the best-of-three (Bo3) series. However, it wasn’t an easy win for the Cavaliers. SRG John "Innocent" Banal shocked the world with a Sora pick, a hero usually used in the EXP and Jungle lane. While the Malaysian team lost, Innocent was able to score a savage kill streak. TLPH was able to bounce back in the second game, but lost the third game, sealing their fate in the Bo3 series.
Coach Ar Sy reflects on the loss against SRG

Despite the setback in the M7 Swiss Stage, coach Ar Sy remained composed and self-aware. He admitted that they fully anticipated SRG’s level of play. The coach acknowledged the Malaysian team’s hunger to make a statement and prove they can take down the best of the best.
“I know they are very eager to win against us because of your standing in international tournaments,” the TLPH coach shared.
While the loss was difficult to swallow, the team revealed mixed emotions following the series. Some players were seen smiling after the match ended. However, coach Ar Sy explained how “Some of us are obviously sad about the loss, but we believe we can improve because we learned a lot from this game.“
The TLPH coach also made it clear that the defeat did not shake their confidence heading into the next matches in the Swiss Stage. M7 was always expected to be this intense, and the experience against SRG only reinforced that mindset. With new ideas to explore and adjustments to make, TLPH is already looking ahead to their next opponent, ready to apply what they’ve learned.
