Everything revealed at Minecraft Live March 2025
Let’s go over the details on the most important information revealed in the livestream:
Tiny Takeover update and release date

Mojang completely revamps baby mobs in Minecraft with the Tiny Takeover update, releasing this March 24. The update aims to turn young critters cute and cuddly with new designs and sound effects. However, that’s not all the update has to offer.
New item: Golden Dandelion

If you find the new baby mobs cute, you feed them a Golden Dandelion to keep them young forever. However, keep in mind that this also means you lose the perks of some mobs when they reach adulthood. For example, mature cows can provide milk. Keeping them as babies forever means you can’t milk them. To craft this item, you need one Dandelion in the middle of a crafting table interface surrounded by Golden Ingots.
Craftable Name Tags

Aside from the mob design revamp, the Minecraft LIVE March 2026 stream also revealed that Name Tags will finally be craftable via the crafting table. Previously, you could only acquire them at random by opening dungeon chests. This makes them a rare item that you need to use sparingly. In the upcoming update, you can craft them using an Iron Ingot in the middle and Paper on the bottom left side of the crafting interface. With how cheap it is to craft, you can finally name all your favorite mobs and pets.
Next game drop: Chaos Cubed, featuring the Sulfur biome and Sulfur Cube

The next Game Drop to be announced later this year is the Chaos Cubed. This update adds a new Sulfur biome deep in the cave system. The new biome will feature Sulfur blocks that can turn the water above it into a hot spring. Be careful, though, as it will give you nausea if you dip in the water for too long.
Aside from the new biome, the Sulfure Cube mob will also debut in the upcoming game drop. This new mob can absorb any type of block. Depending on the block it absorbs, they get different effects. For example, giving it an Ice Block will cause it to slide across the ground, good for turning it into a hockey puck.
Interactive Minecraft experience with Moonlight Trail in Buenos Aires

For events happening in real life, Mojang announced the Moonlight Trail, an interactive Minecraft experience. The event will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and will be opened to attendees to feel what it’s like to be in Minecraft’s blocky world. Based on the Minecraft LIVE March 2026 stream, you will travel through different biomes, craft gear, defend yourself against hostile mobs, and much more. Mojang plans to host more regions in the future.
Mojang to build Minecraft Worlds theme park in London in 2027

In partnership with Merlin Entertainment, Mojang will build a theme park called Minecraft World. Based on the livestream, it will feature a lot of content, including a minecart roller coaster. The theme park will open at Chessington World of Adventures in London in 2027.
Minecraft Dungeons 2 official reveal

Mojang’s take on the dungeon-crawling genre, Minecraft Dungeons, will get a sequel. The game received mixed reviews from players. Some called it a “boring” version of Diablo. Meanwhile, a good number of fans enjoyed its gameplay, especially now that the release day complaints of players have been resolved.
Six years after its release, Mojang announced Minecraft Dungeons 2, set to release sometime this year. The teaser did not reveal anything significant. However, fans who are looking forward to the game can wishlist while waiting for the release this fall 2026.
