The whole X-Men ’97 gang is coming to Marvel Rivals.

The Marvel Rivals leaks continue! And this time, we've got a new leak from the reliable X0X_LEAK outlining the abilities of some future heroes. The list includes previously leaked characters, such as Professor X, and also adds six new characters, including 5 more X-Men to the list. So, which X-Men are coming to Marvel Rivals?

A Growing X-Men Family in Marvel Rivals

According to the leaks, Gambit, Rogue, Jubilee, Beast, and Nightcrawler will soon join the X-Men ranks in Marvel Rivals. Here's a quick breakdown of the new characters.

Gambit (Remy Étienne LeBeau) - Duelist

A Duelist with energy-based abilities. Known for his Cajun charm and cunning, Gambit hails from New Orleans and was raised in a thieves' guild. His trademark kinetically charged cards and bo staff make him a dangerous and charismatic figure within the X-Men. Recently, the character emerged as a fan favorite after featuring in both Deadpool and X-Men '97. As expected, Gambit's leaked abilities make use of his energy cards, while his iconic staff will likely feature as his weapon of choice.

  • Node Card Array - Projection
  • Node Card Array - Recycling

Nightcrawler (Kurt Wagner) - Duelist

Another Duelist, likely focusing on teleportation and swordplay. Nightcrawler's history as a second-generation Mutant brings a unique perspective and, combined with his kind soul, makes him a fan favorite. Little is clear about his abilities currently, but Foil and Epee style likely will refer to his swordplay techniques, with Phase Shift referring to his teleportation abilities.

Jubilee (Jubilation Lee) - Marvel Rivals Class Unknown

Class remains unknown, but she's expected to dazzle with fireworks. Jubilee's youthful energy and strong bonds with her team have made her beloved, often serving as the heart of the team during tough times. Her abilities reflect her Fireworks abilities, likely implying different levels and styles of fireworks for each.

  • Fireworks
  • Atomic Bomb
  • Atomic Bomb-Excitation

Beast (Henry McCoy) - Marvel Rivals Class Unknown

It's another mystery class, but knowing Beast, he'll likely fall into the Strategist camp. Beast's blend of brute strength and genius-level intelligence has been crucial in the X-Men's battles against formidable foes. If you've ever seen Professor Hulk, X-Men's Beast did it first (1963 vs 1977). His abilities for Marvel Rivals point towards agility and intellect both classic features of his in the comics.

Rogue (Anna Marie) - Strategist

A Strategist known for her power-stealing capabilities. Rogue’s history with the X-Men is steeped in tragedy and redemption. After grappling with her ability to absorb powers and memories through touch, she found solace and purpose among the X-Men. Based on her ability names, Rogue might just be one of the strongest characters in Marvel Rivals. With three abilities, simply called Ability Acquisition, it looks like Rogue might be able to copy the abilities of her teammates/foes on the battlefield, though how this would work is still up to speculation. Imagine an extra Pentagram of Farallah (Dr.Strange Portals) on the battlefield.

Marvel Rivals bringing on the X-Men '97 squad

With many new characters confirmed already, and over a dozen more leaked, there's a good chance we may not see all of these characters in the upcoming seasons. But by the looks of things, Marvel Rivals is bringing on the entire X-Men '97 roster to the game. As always, take the leaks with a pinch of salt, but Marvel Rivals continues to be one of the most exciting games in 2025.
