Marvel Rivals Season 5.5 is completely removing one team-up, and spicing up a few other ones! Of course, the new hero Rogue is getting one.
As the current season reaches the halfway point, the devs are shaking up team-ups once again! Here are all of the removed and new team-ups that will be implemented in Marvel Rivals Season 5.5.
Removed team-ups in Marvel Rivals Season 5.5
This one is simple - the Mental Projection team-up between Emma Frost and Psylocke is now being completely removed. This follows after Magneto left this team-up at the beginning of the season. No more shadow clone jutsu for Sai.
We don't have the Marvel Rivals Season 5.5 balance notes yet, but expect some buffs to Emma Frost to compensate for her Team-Up Anchor buff disappearing.
New team-ups in Marvel Rivals 5.5

Three already existing team-ups are getting new members for Season 5.5. There are no completely new team-ups for this update.
Chilling Assault (Luna Snow - Iron Fist / Emma Frost)

Emma Frost is joining this team-up after the removal of Mental Projection.

With this team-up, she gains the ability to conjure an ice wall. She can use this to either kick enemies into or to block line of sight.
Sword of Duality (Cloak & Dagger - Hawkeye / Psylocke)
Psylocke is joining this team-up after the removal of Mental Projection.

She gains the ability to control light and dark energy. She can throw a returning shuriken using light energy. This damages enemies and heals allies, and heals Psylocke based on the number of enemies and allies hit. Meanwhile, she can harness dark energy to throw projectiles for damage and become invisible.

Explosive Entanglement (Gambit - Magneto / Rogue)

The game's newest Vanguard, Rogue, is joining the team-up with her canonical partner, Gambit, on it. If you want to check out what she does, read about her abilities here.

She can activate her team-up ability to enhance her basic attacks, causing them to deal AoE damage and heal nearby allies.
