Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 cannot come soon enough. Not only does it feature Blade as a playable character, but also new team-ups, the Resource Rumble game mode plus the Throne of Knull map. Read on for the Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 release date, patch notes, and more.

Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 release date

Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 will launch on Aug. 8. According to NetEase Games, Blade will join the game in this update as a duelist hero. His moves will be flashy and very reminiscent of Dante and Vergil's iconic moves from the Devil May Cry (DMC) franchise.

  • Removing the Guardian Revival team-up (Adam Warlock + Mantis / Star Lord)
  • Removing the Atlas Bond team-up (Iron Fist + Luna Snow)
  • Removing Loki from the Ragnarok Rebirth team-up (Hela + Thor / Loki)
  • Adding the Duality Dance team-up (Adam Warlock + Luna Snow)
  • Adding the Vibrant Vitality team-up (Mantis + Groot / Loki)
  • Adding Iron Fist to the Chilling Assault team-up (Luna Snow + Hawkeye)
  • Adding Star-Lord to the Rocket Network team-up (Rocket Raccoon + Peni Parker)
  • Adding Blade to the Lunar Force team-up (Cloak & Dagger + Moon Knight)
  • Introducing Resource Rumble as a new game mode (Aug. 22)
  • Introducing the Throne of Knull Resource Rumble map
  • Launching Resource Rumble in Quick Match first before rolling it out for ranked play
  • Adding a custom filter for text chat
  • Increasing time and point penalties for players who quit ranked matches
  • Adding point compensation for players who stay until the end of ranked matches with leavers
  • Decreasing number of surrender votes required
  • Updating the shaders for PC so players no longer have to wait for them to load

Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 team-ups

Season 3.5 will also features several team-up changes, including two new additions, two removals, and four adjustments. The new ones will pertain to Duality Dance and Vibrant Vitality.

Duality Dance will be a team-up between Adam Warlock and Luna Snow. Meanwhile, Vibrant Vitality will have Mantis working with either Groot or Loki. Blade will join Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 as part of the Lunar Force team-up as well, which features Cloak & Dagger and Moon Knight.

Throne of Knull map, Resource Rumble mode, and more

In terms of other updates, Resource Rumble will arrive as a new game mode on Aug. 22. It will have it very own Throne of Knull map and be playable via Quick Match first. The ranked version will arrive after some player feedback.

No one likes leavers, so NetEase Games will increase the time and point penalties for them while giving staying players some compensation. The number of surrender votes will also be decreased. Folks will be able to filter our muted words for themselves in text chat, too.
