Marvel Rivals is getting a new game mode, Resource Rumble! Here's everything you need to know about this new core game mode and the new map as they go live.

Resource Rumble release date

Resource Rumble and the Klyntar: Throne of Knull map released on August 21, 2025 (UTC), as part of Season 3.5. It will first be available in Quick Match, followed by a rollout on Competitive queues in the coming updates. This may be to allow for player and community feedback before it starts affecting people's ranks.

As mentioned above, this is a core game mode and will be added to the rotation of maps and modes you randomly get while queued up for a Quick Match (and eventually, Competitive).

Throne of Knull has three areas: the Hel Gate, the Breeding Caverns, and the titular Throne of Knull. Resource Rumble is divided into three stages, using these three areas in a random order.

For the first two stages, the teams will have to fight over control of the point to harvest resources from it. Each point has up to 210 Resources that can be siphoned by either team.

When the 210 Resources from a point have been exhausted, the game moves onto the next stage, where the struggle repeats. 210 Resources to fight over, and once this is depleted, the game proceeds to the third stage. This will most likely be the case, unless a team has already reached 360 points. In this scenario, that team claims the win.

The third stage of Resource Rumble in Marvel Rivals is called the Rumble Phase. The opposing teams begin with a certain amount of resources, depending on the outcome of the first two rounds. They fight over the point, called the hijack area, to steal resources from their opponents. The team that reaches 300 Resources wins the game.

All stages have Overtime mechanics, and the resources won't be harvested or "rumbled" until all members of the enemy team are off the point. But, the longer a team has been in control of a point, the faster they can harvest resources.
