Top five references and easter eggs in the Worlds 2025 song Sacrifice music video
The Sacrifice ft. G.E.M. music video as the Worlds 2025 anthem contains a lot of details for long-time LoL Esports fans. Here are some of the best that we were able to spot. Did your favorite moment make it on this list?
Honorable mention: NRG sends G2 home

With FlyQuest top-laner Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau's removal from the Worlds 2025 music video, the North American region is left without a representative. However, there is a small moment at the end that celebrates NRG's win over G2 Esports during the Worlds 2023 Swiss Stage.
This loss did not immediately cause G2's exit, but it did send them into a do-or-die against eventual semifinalists Bilibili Gaming.
GAM CEO TK Nguyen

TK Nguyen has been a massive icon on the Worlds stage. His energy and passion are almost contagious, and the support he shows for GAM Esports each and every time they compete internationally is always a source of good vibes.

During the quick montage of moments at the end that ended with the late Fnatic mid-laner Maciej "Shushei" Ratuszniak lifting the Summoner's Cup, a glimpse of TK Nguyen can be seen. This exact frame is referencing a photo taken during Worlds 2022.
TheShy 1v5 vs G2 in 2018
Sacrifice had quite the accurate recreation of Invictus Gaming top-laner Kang "TheShy" Seung-lok's monstrous Aatrox against the entirety of G2 Esports in game 3 of the Worlds 2018 semifinals. 21 minutes and 30 seconds into the game, TheShy popped his ultimate, got imprisoned by Luka "Perkz" Perković's Lissandra, and decimated the hopes of Europe.

Caps' Sylas and Ruler's Ashe - G2 vs Gen.G in Worlds 2020 Quarterfinals
Another accurate recreation appears with Rasmus "Caps" Winther's Sylas and Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk's Ashe. 28 minutes in on the second game of Worlds 2020 quarterfinals, Ruler hits Caps with the Enchanted Crystal Arrow. Immediately after, he goes golden with the Zhonya's Hourglass to avoid the Nidalee Spear — a moment also captured in the Sacrifice Worlds 2025 music video.

He then fires back his Hijacked Ashe ultimate, hits Kim "Clid" Tae-min, and puts G2 on match point. This moment became a big contributing factor to G2 sweeping Gen.G, but the EUphoria soon ended as they fell to DAMWON Gaming in the semis. DWG would go on to win this event and lift the trophy.
Levi's Requiem for the hope of Vietnam - GAM vs TES in Worlds 2022 Group Stage
This may be an under-appreciated moment amongst all of the epics orchestrated on the Worlds stage, but GAM Esports' Đỗ "Levi" Duy Khánh on Karthus once became the single thread that held Vietnam's hopes together.
In the group stage of Worlds 2022, Top Esports was battering GAM's Nexus after the latter team got aced. All hope looked lost, but Levi's Requiem saved the game by wiping TES off the map. Shortly after, one of the biggest upsets of the event happened, and GAM took the win.

Faker shuffles Ruler - T1 vs JDG in Worlds 2022 Semifinal

Against Ruler and JD Gaming in the Worlds 2022 Semifinal, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok was not the Unkillable Demon King. He was simply the Great Wall of China.
Ruler attempted to Flash out of Faker's Azir Ultimate, but he got read like a book, and Faker flashed alongside him. The Emperor's Divide may have only hit Ruler's Varus, but this was enough to turn a dismal game state into a win. T1 would, however, fall to DRX in the five-game grand final.
There are definitely more easter eggs from the Worlds 2025 song Sacrifice music video! You should try and figure out if you can recognize any of the "constellations" at the end of the MV.
