Last Free Nation announced that The Best Damn League Show is ending, following in EUphoria's footsteps. Here's why, and other LEC podcasts you can tune in to.

League of Legends personality Duncan “Thorin” Shields and ex-Team Heretics head coach Peter Dun’s podcast, “Best Damn League Show,” has announced its end. The LEC- and European-scene-focused podcast, hosted by the two, has amassed over 100 episodes in its four-year run. Here’s why it’s shutting down and what LEC fans can tune in to in place of this show.

“The Best Damn League Show has come to an end.”

The independent media network Last Free Nation was established by Thorin and ex-LCS coach and caster Christopher “MonteCristo” Mykles. It hosts a variety of shows, including Summoning Insight and The Best Damn League Show.

We love the LEC, the fans, and the podcast itself. However, we collectively decided that our time and attention would be better placed in other projects. We know this is unwelcome news for many of you. Over the course of 110 episodes across 4 years, you joined us for match analysis, drama reactions, and all the celebrations that took place in the LEC.

The show previously had Christian “IWDominate” Rivera as a host, prior to his commitments with Cloud9. The show would regularly have guests on, picking their brains about everything from specific LEC games to their view of the entire EU LoL Esports ecosystem. One of the show’s most-viewed episodes on YouTube had Jakob “YamatoCannon” Mebdi, amassing over 70,000 views.

Only The Best Damn League Show will end, and Last Free Nation’s other offerings will remain. This includes Summoning Insight with Thorin and YamatoCannon and Power Spike with YamatoCannon, Adrian “Jamada” Wharlton-Thorne, and Daniel “dGon” Gonzales.

They also teased a new project with Thorin that will seemingly extend past League of Legends. “As for Thorin… he’s cooking up a new show that fans of ALL esports will enjoy. Stay tuned!,” the post read.

EUphoria, HopEUm, LEC Podcast

Late last year, the LEC podcast EUPhoria, primarily hosted by Daniel “Drakos” Drakos, was also cut.

EUphoria was on for more than four years and had almost 200 episodes, each one garnering tens if not hundreds of thousands of views and listens. If you weren’t an avid listener back then, there’s a lot of backlogged content for you to go through!

When EUphoria’s cancellation was announced back in December, no clear reason was given. However, it is widely believed that it was due to funding issues.

It’s not all bad news, though, since the void left by EUphoria was soon filled. The new, aptly named “LEC Podcast” hosted by Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu and Jakob “Jackspektra” Kepple went live with its first episode on March 26, right before LEC Spring 2026 began.

G2 and Trevor “Quickshot” Henry are also working together on HopEUm, hoping to fill the same void that EUphoria left. They frequently have LEC players as guests, G2 members or otherwise.

Even though The Best Damn League Show has concluded, there’s a lot to choose from to get your LEC podcast fix.
