The Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2025 has concluded, with Gen.G crowned champions for the second time after a thrilling victory over T1. Fans around the world witnessed one of the best series in the tournament’s history, as the Grand Finals reached a record-breaking peak of over three million viewers, the highest ever for a MSI Finals.
After a tough second loss to Gen.G in the tournament, T1 reflected on their journey, key decisions, and lessons learned during the post-match press conference. Here are all the English questions.
Improving performance ahead of the next split and the Esports World Cup 2025 preparation
TheScore esports: This T1 team has consistently improved during the course of this split. After two extremely close series to Gen.G, I'm curious about what you feel T1 needs to do in order to improve and, eventually, beat them in the Summer Split or at LoL Worlds.
T1 Faker: Throughout this MSI, I believe our team has been doing extremely well, and that's why this loss today is even more regrettable. Despite losing to Gen.G twice, I believe we are capable of defeating them. I think we just have to take away a lot of things from our matches against them.
NaMEN: Obviously, this is a very emotional moment for everyone in the team. But looking at Keria, you look especially down. I'm curious about what you're thinking right now. We know that players usually think about parts of the game. Are you thinking about any specific part of the game that sticks out in your head right now?
T1 Keria: Gamewise, I think that the biggest thing is that we were capable of executing what we wanted to and intended to. My main thought is that we have to start preparing right away for EWC, so I believe we just want to do even better against Gen.G when we meet them again.

Breaking down T1 draft choices and key decisions during the series at the MSI 2025
Hotspawn: What do you think about the balance of power between the two drafts in Match 5, since Gen.G's composition was very hard to execute? Do you think they still had an advantage in terms of the draft?
T1 Tom (Coach): I think the composition we were trying to go with was something for T1 to take control of and maintain throughout the match. If we took the space, then the enemy wouldn't be able to jump right at us. We tried to do that.
Mais Esports: Keria, you have picked Pyke in the Upper Bracket final, and you ended up losing. Today, Gen.G picked the same champion, in the same situation, and came out on top. What made their Pyke better today? What is it about execution or macro play?
T1 Keria: I think that Gen.G was able to execute the composition they chose for today.
T1's international experience
Marc: I know that right now you feel sadness, but in reality, you ended up as the best second team in the world. How hard was it for you to join the team, to step up into Zeus' shoes, and to perform on that high level?
T1 Doran: As I joined T1, it required me to have an adjustment period, especially at the beginning of this season. In the middle of the season, I had already adapted pretty well, and that is why we ended up making it to the MSI and reaching the Grand Finals. During the MSI, I've learned a lot of good things and, although I feel regretful, I think I will be better soon.
Sons of KS: [Faker] You often show us a different level of performance on the international stage, compared to regional tournaments. What are the changes? Is it the mindset, preparation, or the environment that makes competing internationally a distinct T1 performance?
T1 Faker: I'm sure there are many factors, but I believe T1 has a lot of international experience. Compared to our domestic performance, I think that when it comes to internationals, we tend to pull off really good compositions of everything we have prepared. That's why you see us being so successful internationally.
