LoL Worlds 2021 champion Scout returns to the LCK after nine years in China, signing with NS RedForce for the 2026 season.

Lee “Scout” Ye-chan, the 2021 League of Legends Worlds Champion, is set to return to the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) in 2026 as he joins NS RedForce, forming a double–mid laner lineup for the upcoming season.

Scout joins NS RedForce

On Nov. 21, Nongshim RedForce announced Scout as their second mid laner for the 2026 season, joining Syun “Calix” Hyun-bin. While the team has not disclosed the length of his contract, Scout’s return to the LCK marks a significant moment for fans who watched him depart the league nine years ago. With his signing, Nongshim RedForce has now finalized its roster for the upcoming season.

Scout rejoins the LCK

Scout began his career with SK Telecom T1, the organization that has produced many of League of Legends’ greatest talents. Over the course of a year, he developed rapidly and emerged as one of the most promising mid laners of his generation. However, breaking into the starting lineup proved nearly impossible, as the mid lane position had been firmly held by Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok since 2013.

Looking for an opportunity to grow, Scout packed his bags and headed to China, marking the beginning of the next chapter in his career. He joined EDward Gaming, where he spent six successful years and ultimately lifted the 2021 Worlds trophy. During his time with EDG, he also secured two Demacia Cups and four domestic titles.

In 2022, he moved on to LNG Esports, adding two more domestic trophies to his resume. However, his exit from EDG was accompanied by legal complications that continued to shadow his time with LNG.

In 2024, Scout signed with JD Gaming. However, the year fell short of expectations, with the team failing to secure a domestic championship or qualify for any international event. With Scout's return to the LCK, can he help NS RedForce achieve new heights and finally secure their first domestic title?
