Followers of the Church of Chovy were introduced to League of LeHends in this match.

The League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational 2024 culminates in the grand final of Gen.G Esports vs Bilibili Gaming match. Both teams already met in the upper bracket semifinal, and a lot is on the line for all of the players.

Gen.G Esports made it to the LoL MSI 2024 through the upper bracket. The LCK Spring 2024 champions had a dominant run and did not drop a single match in MSI 2024.

Bilibili Gaming was sent to the lower bracket after their first meeting with Gen.G in the upper bracket semifinals. They beat T1 afterward, denying the LCK Spring final rematch.

Gen.G Esports brought the spice to Game 1. They locked in Karthus for Canyon and Yone for Chovy. Meanwhile, Bilibili Gaming resorted to comfort, giving Neeko to Knight.

Due to Gen.G having a scaling comp, BLG was allowed to take objectives, including the Dragon Soul, early. Gen.G played patiently until they sufficiently scaled and took over the game.

After the second Elder Drake and a clean ace afterward, the Korean team opened the series with a win. The Karthus-Yone mid-jungle duo was instrumental to this win.

In Game 2, Gen.G brought out another ace up their sleeve. Lehends locked in Blitzcrank versus the squishy champions from BLG. The Chinese squad made an effort to put Yone behind.

However, the price they had to pay was to put Elk in a disadvantageous position. What came after this could only be described as "League of Lehends." With his hooks, Gen.G was a ball of death BLG could not avoid.

BLG managed to find a good fight even while over 12 thousand gold behind. This bought them some space but was not enough to turn the tides of the game.

Peyz on Kalista set the record for most kills in LoL Esports history after ending the game with 28 kills. He even topped this off with a pentakill!

Bilibili Gaming started Game 3 pretty bleakly as they missed a ban during pick-ban. Nevertheless, they punished Gen.G hard and built a comfortable lead early into the game.

They kept growing their lead, but they overstepped a couple of times, which gave Gen.G a lifeline. Once Gen.G acquired the Ocean Soul, the fighting grounds were mostly even.

Gen.G found a lot of value from the Ocean Soul given the pokey nature of the fights. Unfortunately for them, BLG won the war of attrition, denied the sweep, and brought the series to Game 4.

In Game 4, both teams were making plays left and right. By the time mid-game rolled over, the game was still even. The game then came to a head when ON got caught. The result was a massive fight that went heavily in Gen.G's favor. They got Baron Nashor and a massive advantage from this.

Bilibili Gaming remained competitive in the game thanks to Xun stealing the next Baron. Meanwhile, Bin was a massive thorn for Gen.G as he endlessly split-pushed. The BLG carries eventually scaled and evened the game out once more.

A teamfight in the late-game exposed Gen.G's Nexus. This was the target of multiple backdoor attempts, all thwarted by Gen.G. Chovy, on his ever-stalwart Azir, led the team to taking the Infernal Soul, another Baron Nashor, and eventually, BLG's Nexus.

This win qualifies Gen.G Esports for the League of Legends 2024 World Championship.
