The new animated trailer gives us our first look at the Exalted Revenant Reign Viego skin, set to launch in LoL patch 26.02.
Viego claims the first Exalted skin of 2026 with his new Revenant Reign release. As part of the League of Legends gacha system, the skin features incredible animations and a premium price tag.
Exalted Revenant Reign Viego: In-game look
In the trailer shared by Riot Games, we already had the opportunity to check out the Exalted Revenant Reign Viego model in-game. We can also see the sword changing its colors and animations according to its enemy. The visual effects are determined by the class of every enemy Viego possesses. He can get up to seven different swords, each one with a unique design and color scheme.
"We worked with a ton of Viego mains to talk about what the ultimate Viego experience is, and it became pretty obvious," said Riot 100PC Nuggets in the latest developer's video.
Viego: When love leads to ruin
Viego is one of the most well-constructed champions in League of Legends, with deeply emotional lore. In the official trailer, we witness his grief after his wife has passed away. And now, he will do everything in his power to bring her back, even if that means casting the world into ruination.
Transformed into a unliving wraith, Viego is now the Ruined King, driven by an obsessive longing for his centuries-dead queen. Consequently, he commands the deadly Harrowings as he scours Runeterra in search of anything that might one day restore her. Along the way, he destroys everything in his path.
Later, Viego managed to revive his queen. However, as a shadow of her former self, she turned against him and attacked with his own sword. Although he desperately wanted to bring her back, he never considered whether she truly wished to return. As a result, Viego lost his life, and the Blessed Isles were transformed into the cursed Shadow Isles.
Skin release
You can check out the official trailer on the League of Legends X page or on YouTube. The Exalted Revenant Reign Viego skin will be available in LoL patch 26.02, which is set to release on Jan. 22, 2026.
As an Exalted skin, Revenant Reign will only be available in The Sanctum. Since it’s part of a gacha system, getting it may require multiple attempts and potentially some spending, so be mindful. The skin is guaranteed on the 80th wish.
