The young ADC prodigy Peyz joined T1 ahead of the 2026 season, signing a two-year contract that marks his return to the LCK.

One of the most talented young players, Kim "Peyz" Su-hwan, is joining T1 for the upcoming League of Legends (LoL) season. Having signed a contract with the legendary organization, he promises to deliver his best performances on the stage.

Peyz joins T1

In 2025, T1 secured their sixth LoL Worlds title, making them the only team to achieve this feat. They also became the first team to win three championships in a row. During the off-season, Worlds champion Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong announced his departure from the team. This sparked rumors about who would fill the ADC role next.

Peyz was one of the top candidates, and the rumors have now been confirmed. The youngest botlaner to win the LCK and the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2024 champion, Peyz, will join T1 and return to South Korea after a year with JD Gaming. At just 19 years old, the young ADC is already one of the most prominent players in his role.

In a welcoming video to fans, T1 Peyz revealed that he is "very excited to begin this new chapter." He signed with the team through 2028, signaling that the Korean organization aims to support Peyz’s growth and help him become an even stronger player in the coming years.

With Peyz on board, T1’s roster is now complete for 2026. Choi "Doran" Hyeon-joon renewed his contract for another year, while Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun and Ryu "Keria" Min-seok are already signed through the 2026 season. Meanwhile, team captain Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok holds the longest contract, keeping him with T1 until 2029.

Peyz' career: from LCK to the LPL

The young player started his career in 2020 in Gen.G Academy. It didn't take long for the organization to see his mechanical skill and outstanding performance, promoting him to the Challengers team. In just two years, the player ascended to the main team.

He holds the record for the highest number of kills in a single match at an international LoL event after achieving 28 kills in MSI 2024 Finals Game 2, the same game in which he got a pentakill as Kalista. With the yellow and black team, Peyz won two domestic titles and the MSI 2024. Can he help T1 reclaim the MSI title, which has been absent from their trophy case since 2017?

For the 2025 season, Peyz played in the LPL for JD Gaming. However, he remained strictly a regional player since JDG was unable to qualify for any international event this year. He did add two more pentakills to his montage, though, both on Kai'Sa.
