Pentakill - A Riot Games metal band
Pentakill is a fictional metal band created by Riot Games in 2014. The band breached the Billboard Top 40 and reach No 1 in the iTunes metal chart in 2017, despite not actually being a physical band. The bulk of Pentakill’s songs are composed by Riot Games’ in-house composers.
“I think it’s entirely insanity as opposed to any sort of brilliance on our part. When you think of a warlock like Karthus as a metal lead singer or a berserker Viking like Olaf as a drummer, it all just seemed to make sense to us. We obviously had high hopes for this, but it’s not exactly territory we knew well when we began. We’re dying to see how the reception to the album pans out.”
Norwegian Jorn Lande is the lead vocalist for Pentakill and will perform live on Sunday. The MSS Grand finals opening ceremony will take place at the Los Angeles Greek Theater without an audience.
For the health and safety of our players, staff, and local residents, the Finals event will not have an audience. we’ll be following strict COVID-19 protocols including testing before arrival and separation on-site for our finalist teams.
Jackson joins LCS as first guitar partner
The guitar company will be the first guitar partner of the LCS. The Jackson guitar is popular for its high-quality, customized guitars. Several high-profile artists such as Iron Maiden’s Adrian Smith, Lamb of God’s Mark Morton, Slipknot’s Mick Thomson have used Jackson guitars throughout their careers.
Pentakill’s performance will be a deviation from the focus on pop music at LoL events in recent years. League of Legends fans can catch the opening ceremony live on Twitch at 1 pm PT on Sunday.
