Riot Games has revealed that "Sacrifice" by G.E.M is the official League of Legends Worlds 2025 (LoL Worlds 2025) anthem. The video featured Maciej "Shushei" Ratuszniak and more.
LoL Worlds 2025 anthem honors Shushei
The music video for "Sacrifice" premiered on Oct. 13, just ahead of the major esports clash between Invictus Gaming (IG) and T1. The video not only featured legendary players over the years such as Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok and Ryu "Keria" Min-seok from T1, but also paid a heartfelt tribute to Shushei.
The Shushei tribute happened near the end of the music video, and it was quickly embraced by the community. Many folks on Reddit praised it as a beautiful way to celebrate his legacy. Shushei won LoL Worlds Season 1 with his FNATIC (FNC) teammates in 2011, and as a former mid laner for Pulse Esports who passed away, seeing him featured in the music video served as a touching reminder of his impact.
"The final shot showing Shushei is a beautiful way to honour his legacy," user Large_Love_2563 wrote.
"Love when Riot honors the OG S1 and S2 Champions even as the esports scene really took off after S2," user Heliotex added. "This tribute shot of Shushei and the shots of the FNC and TPA logos on the [winners'] monoliths in Rise were amazing."
Several accounts on X also noted the Shushei tribute, including the official FNC and LoL Esports ones.
