The traditional LCK show match will return in 2026, officially kicking off the new League of Legends season.
The League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) 2026 season is almost starting, and we will open it with the traditional show match. It promises to be completely chaotic and fun to watch.

The teams were chosen by the assigned captains. They could only choose people from their position, even though they would be playing in other roles during the show match. Remember, this is only a show match and does not count for the official results. It is only a way to entertain the fans and bring some chaos and fun to the LCK. LCK 2026 show match prize
In 2025, the winning team had the chance to choose 100 League of Legends skins per player (500 in total) to gift the fans. The MVP also won a monetary prize of $1 million KRW (around $700). The prize for this year's event has yet to be revealed. Last year, Team Mid won the event, and Gwak "Bdd" Bo-sung was the MVP.
The 2026 Season
During the showmatch, fans will be able to see a preview of the upcoming 2026 Season. League of Legends is opening the new season with Demacia, taking you on a journey throughout one of the most iconic regions of the game.

The show match is happening on Jan. 9, 1 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. CET. You can watch it on the LCK YouTube and Twitch channels. Organizers will disclose additional details about the match format and schedule later. We will keep you updated on that.
