For the first time, the KeSPA Cup 2025 will feature North American teams, and Disney+ will stream the event exclusively.
The KeSPA CUP 2025, one of the biggest League of Legends off-season events in South Korea, will welcome two North American teams for the first time. Disney+ will stream the tournament globally, marking a new era in esports broadcasting.
KeSPA Cup 2025
The KeSPA CUP 2025 returns with top League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) talent, as well as four invited teams. Moreover, for the first time, North America will be represented, with Cloud9 and Team Liquid heading to Korea to take on the region’s powerhouses on their home turf.
In addition to the North American teams, the tournament will invite teams from Japan and Vietnam, although the exact organizations involved have not yet been announced.
Disney+ will stream the KeSPA Cup from Dec. 6 to Dec. 14. For the first time, a major streaming platform will broadcast the event, reflecting a trend that traditional sports have recently adopted as well. Furthermore, all matches will take place online, while the finals will be hosted live at the Sangam SOOP Colosseum.
Teams
The full roster of participating teams includes BNK FEARX, OKSavingsBank BRION, Dplus KIA, DWG KIA, DRX, Gen.G, Hanwha Life Esports, KT Rolster, NS RedForce, and T1. So far, the schedule and match details have not yet been released. We will update you as soon as they share more information.
Media partnership with The Walt Disney Company Korea
In October 2025, the Korea e-Sports Association announced an exclusive media partnership with The Walt Disney Company Korea on LinkedIn. This secured Disney+ the exclusive broadcasting rights for the KeSPA Cup 2025. They will also exclusively live-stream content related to the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games through the OTT service.
2026 Asian Games
Japan will host the 2026 Asian Games, a multi-sport event, from Sept. 19 to Oct. 4, 2026. In addition to traditional sports, the event will also feature multiple esports tournaments. The tournaments will include popular titles such as Honor of Kings, League of Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Pokémon Unite, PUBG Mobile, and many more.
