FURIA secured their spot at MSI 2025 after winning LTA South. Tatu spoke with us about the victory and the preparation for the tournament.

Pedro "Tatu" Seixas is set to make his Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) debut in 2025 with FURIA. At just 19 years old, the Brazilian jungler has his sights set on challenging the best in the world, including Gen.G’s star, Kim "Canyon" Geon-bu.

In an interview with esports.gg, Tatu reflected on FURIA’s dominant 3–0 over paiN Gaming in the LTA South final and shared insights into the team’s preparation for their biggest stage yet. FURIA's first game happens on June 27 against G2 Esports.

Tatu talks about the "underdog syndrome" and how some people might want to see FURIA fail easily in the MSI 2025

"The Split was amazing, but paiN Gaming was destroying everyone. What change in the team's mindset before the Grand Final?"

Tatu: To be honest, we always trust a lot in ourselves. I think this is more about community hype; paiN has a big fan base, and it's easy to create this narrative around them. I think, in the FURIA organization, we knew how good we were and how possible that title was for us.

"Ahead of FURIA's qualification for the MSI 2025, how has the Brazilian community received this news?"

Tatu: I think that, even with FURIA having a smaller fan base than paiN, everyone welcomed us very much, and everyone understood that we were the best team in the end. Everyone understands that we have a lot of potential to show internationally and in Brazil again. I think that everyone is happy for us. Some people think that we will lose easily, because we kind of have the underdog syndrome. I think others want to see if we can go further in the competition, if we can really face them, everyone has that curiosity to see if we can really do it. I'm very happy.

"I think you're going to do a great job. How do you feel about winning your first Split in the main tier and qualifying for the MSI 2025 at the same time?

Tatu: I'm very happy, it was like two in one. I thought I was going to cry when I won. However, it wasn't so disputed, so it was not as hard as it could be. It was 3-0, and I honestly didn't think I was going to win 3-0 in the Grand Finals, even more against paiN. It was something like "What is happening?", "What am I living?" It was a huge surprise and something new in my life.

"I want to play against Canyon. He is the G.O.A.T."

"How is your preparation for the MSI 2025 going now?"

Tatu: We couldn't train as much yet. Honestly, I wish we could train more, but it's okay, we trained for three days, we took a beating here and there, but we fought back as well. On the last day of training for G2 Esports, we had a great day of training, and everyone is confident to play against G2. I'm very happy to be honest. We did very well.

"How do you think your game against G2 Esports will be? What are your expectations?"

Tatu: I think it will be a very hard game, very, very hard. Everyone has to want it very much. Everyone has to be extra active, and needs to be with a lot of guts to win. They are the strongest team after Bilibili Gaming, probably BLG, G2, FURIA, and GAM, but I think we will win. I'm aiming for a 3-1. I think we will lose the first match, win the next two, and then have a huge comeback in the third game.

"Thinking that FURIA will go further in the competition, is there someone or a team you really wish you could play against?"

Tatu: Everyone wants to play against Anyone's Legend, but I want to play against Canyon. He is the G.O.A.T.
