FEARX AD carry Diable took the international stage for the first time in First Stand 2026 with two pentakills.
18-year-old Nam “Diable” Dae-geun, AD carry for FEARX, is having an amazing debut on the international stage this First Stand 2026. In their first two series of the event, Diable has admitted himself into an incredibly exclusive subset of professional League of Legends players.
Diable, the new Pentakill Prince
First off, to even qualify, FEARX had to place at least 2nd at the LCK Cup. To many’s surprise, they did just that. BFX finished in second place after beating SOOPers (3-2), T1 (3-1), and DK (3-0). Their only loss was to eventual LCK Cup champions Gen.G.
At First Stand 2026, their first opponents were Bilibili Gaming, the LPL Split 1 champions. Diable got his first pentakill at game 2 of this series as Jinx. Down 0-1, his heroics evened out the competition.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t enough to carry them throughout the series, although they did win game 3. The match, as expected, went to BLG’s favor, but it was a five-game banger.
Now, on a must-win match against LCP’s only representative, Team Secret Whales, Diable got another pentakill. He did this during the opening game of the series on Ezreal, and the last kill was under the TSW fountain for extra disrespect points.
They swept TSW 3-0 and eliminated the Pacific representatives.
This might be enough for the title of the Pentakill Prince to be passed on to Diable from Kyle “Danny” Sakamaki.
What do Diable and 2014 World Champion Imp have in common?
Two pentakills in two matches is already impressive, and this also makes him a member of an incredibly exclusive club in the world of LoL Esports.
Before this week’s FST matches, Gu “Imp” Seung-bin was the sole player to have more than one pentakill in a single international event. Imp won the 2014 World Championship with Samsung White, after which he moved on to the LPL to play for LGD, Team WE, and JD Gaming before retiring at the end of the 2019 season.
Imp was the first-ever player to get a pentakill in Worlds, too. During the group stage of Worlds 2014, he did this on Vayne against the Turkish team Dark Passage.
Later in the event, he got another pentakill. It was as Twitch, against TSM, to secure the quarterfinal.
Unfortunately, Diable’s first trophy lift, international or not, has to wait as BFX’s FST 2026 journey was cut short by G2 Esports,
