Clash tournaments have the goal of making you and your friends feel like you’re competing in LoL Worlds. Now, things are about to change.
Fans have been furious at Riot Games after the last announcements about the Hextech Chests. Now, they have another reason to be. According to the developers' update, Clash is having some changes in this new season of League of Legends and they're not quite appealing.
Fewer Clash tournaments
If you don't know Clash, this is a tournament where you and other four friends group to defeat other player's teams. You can scout them, choose the adequate picks and bans, and fight for the top spot. During the tournament, your team could earn many rewards like skins.
Initially, Clash happened biweekly, something that was updated in 2023. After that, the Clash tournaments happened monthly. Now, they will happen every two months. Since 2023, you could play around 12 Clash tournaments during the year, which means that you'll now be only playing six per year.
