DPlus KIA players win LCK Regional Qualifier 2024

After securing this spot against T1, DPlus KIA players talked about their victory. In the post-match interview, Hwang "Kingen" Seong-hoon shared that he's happy about the team's performance.

"We really wanted to have an unregrettable and really good match today," Kingen said. "So I'm really glad that we're able to have such a good performance." He then acknowledged that all five games against T1 lasted over 30 minutes, which made the match all the more intense.

"You know, for both teams going into Game 5, it really gives you a lot of anxiety," he said. "So I think I just really tried to maintain my composure — and that helped."

Kingen also shared his thoughts about leaving the Rumble pick open in the matchup. "I think we just left the Rumble pick open because we thought — even if it's like a really big meta pick, there is a chance that the opponent might not have enough experience or practice time with the pick," he said. "So I think we really prioritized just securing the Ziggs on our side."

Kim "Aiming" Ha-ram talked about the champion as well since he played Ziggs four games in a row before swapping to Miss Fortune in Game 5 in the bot matchup.

"We were feeling that all of our gameplay was actually really good, so our confidence actually kept going up throughout the match," Aiming said.

He acknowledged some inconsistencies during the playoffs and qualifiers as well. However, he's overall excited about the overseas experience and a change of scenery.

Meanwhile, Choi "Lucid" Yong-hyeok, who will soon make his first-ever LoL Worlds appearance, shared Kingen's excitement and said that he feels lucky and blessed to compete alongside such great players.

"T1 is a really strong team, and because of [that] trend, we just kind of came [in] today thinking it's gonna be a really tough battle," Lucid said, adding that Aiming kept the team spirit up. "Honestly, I really want to get a good taste of what it's like playing against other international teams," he continued. "I want to be ready for them and I want to really have a good time."

Jeong "Moham" Jae-hun, who also qualified for his first LoL Worlds event, chimed in as well. He said that he trusted in Heo "ShowMaker" Su and felt comfortable during the LCK Regional Qualifier 2024 matches.

"ShowMaker told me that he was actually bringing me to Worlds," he said. "So I did have faith in him. I felt pretty comfortable playing today."
