At the first edition of the League Awards show, we saw many familiar faces and had moments of celebration and fun. Here are all the winners!

The League Awards 2024 happened on December 5 in Berlin, Germany. This was the debut year of the ceremony hosted by Eefje "Sjokz" Depoortere and Marc Robert "Caedrel" Lamont to honor the League of Legends community. It was streamed on Caedrel's Twitch channel. Here's every winner of the first edition of The League Awards 2024.

Steal of the Year

The steal of the year goes to Oner of T1. Against G2 Esports, which seemed to be recovering some of the game's control, Oner proved he was not done yet with that game and stole the baron. What a moment during LoL Worlds 2024.

Escape of the Year

As for the escape of the year, the winner was Zeus in his game against Top Esports. Taking advantage of the fog and the TES player's lack of precise information, Zeus was able to run away and make an incredible escape.

Broadcast Talent of the Year

Laure Valée was elected the broadcast talent of the year, congratulations to the esports host and interview we see so much in the League of Legends paradigm. She's been doing an incredible job hosting league events and being part of the community - and was also the mastermind behind the croissant moment which was one of the most iconic moments during the LoL Worlds 2024.

Rookie of the Year

As for the rookie of the year, the League Awards voted for Massu, the FlyQuest bot lane. He had an amazing performance in LCS bringing FlyQuest their first-ever victory as well as the LoL Worlds 2024 helping FlyQuest take GenG to a fifth game and an unbelievable moment in the League of Legends competitive universe. Congrats, Massu!

Minor Region Star of the Year

The one and only Vietnamese god and an inspiration for many players: Levi is the minor region star of the year. Levi has been marking the minor regions for many years, consistently showing his talent and his leadership in GAM Esports. It's always GAM Time!

Community Creator of the Year

If you are inside the League of Legends community, you definitely know the person who created the suicidal Sion. Bausen’s law won the community creator the year as the "mess of League" as he called himself. He's now part of the Lost Ratones so will be hearing a lot from him next year!

Esports Creator of the Year

Germany was winning tonight. Congratulations to Tolkin for the Esports Creator of the Year award and for his amazing job with the German-speaking community. League is for everyone, everywhere in the world.

Creator Event of the Year

NNO Streammer Tournament Cup is the winner of the category. The event brought many League of Legends streamers against each other, including Tolkin and Bausen’s law. What a great moment of fun and love for the game (and incredibly funny plays).

LPL Player of the Year

Our GigaBin couldn't lose this year's award! I would love to be the girl who got his jacket (still crying today). Congratulations to Bin for winning the LPL Player of the Year for his amazing year being one of the best top laners in the world.

LCK Player of the Year

Chovy won the LCK Player of the Year, the next generation of mid-laners. With such a consistent and incredible year for Gen.G, this award was well deserved. You'll definitely have a great future ahead when one of the best players in the world recognizes your value, as Faker did.

Content Piece of the Year

T1's documentary, Rose Together, was the winner of the content piece of the year. More than an hour long, this documentary showed us the tough year the Korean team had until their LoL Worlds 2023 victory. Between the losses and the difficult moments, we could see a different and more emotional side of the players we often don't see.

Riot Release of the Year

This was one of the most beautiful songs, moments, and lore-wise videos I've ever seen. League of Legends music never disappoints. I still get chills listening to Still Here, by Forts, Tiffany Aris, and 2WEI. Congrats on winning the Riot Release of the Year.

Play of the Year

Are we surprised? At this point, no. The play of the year goes to the amazing performance of Faker with Sylas against BLG in the grand finals of the LoL Worlds 2024. It's impossible to not feel joy seeing such entertaining plays.

LCS Player of the Year

The most unpredictable jungler of the LoL Worlds 2024, the one and only Inspired. He made everyone lose their minds with his insane picks like Nunu & Willump, Ivern, and even Fiddlesticks. A well-deserved award for the LCS winner and one of the reasons for FlyQuest to take Gen.G into a fifth game when no one was expecting that.

LEC Player of the Year

There is not a single League of Legends fan who doesn't love Caps and his incredible presence in the game. What he has brought to the European competitive universe over the years was astonishing. Congratulations LEC's king!

Moment of the Year

I really thought that the croissant moment was going to win this award but I was wrong. The LoL Worlds 2024 winning moment by T1 was the chosen one by the community. Their 5th victory at the most important League event was not forgotten by fans.

Team of the Year

It was impossible not to see T1 winning this category after their performances and victory on the LoL Worlds 2024 and that counts a lot to fans. Team of the Year it's a category they're used to winning a lot, but it never gets old seeing how far they've been in League of Legends.

Player of the Year

The G.O.A.T, the professor, the mastermind, and an inspiration for many young players in League of Legends. Faker is the player of the year and he left a cute message to the award and the fans. Its mark in the game is undeniable and will be always remembered as an iconic player of the competitive League of Legends. It's not over yet, we can still see Faker player for another year so let's enjoy it.

Two special categories

As a calm, fun, and familiar environment, the event added two unique categories: the Best Streamer Metlown of the Year for the amazing IWDominate (and his unique rage) and the Best Scrim of the Year for G2 Esports (true winner) and Los Ratones (fake winner) - a funny little "acting" moment between Caedrel and the G2 General Manager, Romain.

This was the first edition of The League Awards 2024. We will to see the next edition with public and more players in person to receive their awards.

That's all for now. Stick around for more League of Legends news and updates on esports.gg.
