Familiar faces get a new look as March 7th Evernight and Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae come to a future Honkai Star Rail update.
As the story of Amphoreus continues to unfold, two familiar faces are getting new looks in Honkai Star Rail. March 7th, as Evernight, and Dan Heng in his Permansor Terrae were both revealed to be playable characters in a future update.
Both characters also appeared in the "Deliverer Trailer - 'Trailblazer'" teaser.
March 7th - Evernight
Evernight is a separate unit from the March 7th that our accounts received upon starting the game. The last time she got a "form" was for her Imaginary Hunt version, and this featured a switching mechanic similar to the Trailblazer. Evernight, however, is similar to Dan Heng's Imbibitor Lunae form.
Evernight is a 5-star Ice character on the Path of Remembrance. The official reveal refers to her as "the shadow of [March 7th]" and that the third month in Amphoreus is "reserved for the Veil of Evernight," hence the moniker.
Fans also noticed a meta detail regarding her reveal. The gap between Honkai Star Rail's release date (and anniversary) was on April 26, while Evernight's drip marketing was posted on August 3. There are exactly three months and seven days between these two dates.

Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae
Dan Heng is getting a third form with Permansor Terrae! As with his Imbibitor Lunae form, this is also a separate unit. Unlike DHIL, though, the player base is yet to come up with a nickname for this unit. Current top choices are DLPT (for consistency) or Terravox, which was the unit's leaked name.
Permansor Terrae is a 5-star Physical unit on the Path of Preservation. This is great news for the variety in the game, since the last released Preservation character was Aventurine. He went live in April of 2024.
Dan Heng's appearance, as well as the flavor text on the Permansor Terrae reveal post, confirms the fan theory that he was among the characters who were inside Amphoreus when the cycle reset. Despite waiting for potentially hundreds if not thousands of years, Permansor Terrae still remembers the Trailblazer and his role aboard the Astral Express.
When does Evernight and Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae go live?
Evernight and Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae are both expected to release with the Honkai Star Rail version 3.6 update, scheduled for Sept. 24, 2025. Some unofficial information suggests that Permansor Terrae will be given for free, but there has been no confirmation of this just yet.
