Honkai Star Rail x Fate/ collab leaks: Characters, timeframe, more

After almost a year of silence since it was announced, details of the upcoming collab between Fate/stay night and Honkai Star Rail have leaked! This includes a possible timeframe for when the collab goes live, the characters you can pull for, and more, here.

The collab was first revealed on July 19, 2024, alongside the Honkai Star Rail version 2.4 details.

This came in the form of a simple graphic and a rough release date: Q3 2025. No hints about what type of content, or what to expect, accompanied the reveal. This prompted Honkai Star Rail players to speculate online. Now, we get to confirm or debunk these speculations.

We do know which route of Fate/stay night is involved, though: Unlimited Blade Works.

Obviously, the information below is not official and must be taken with a grain of salt.

Two key pieces of information have been leaked regarding the collaboration with Fate/stay night. First, the characters involved. Second, a more specific release date than just the third quarter of the year.

According to leaks, there will be two characters in the HSR x FSN collab. Both are limited 5-star characters, meaning they will be obtainable through limited-time banners. Whether they will get a rerun or not is unconfirmed, though.

Saber - Artoria Pendragon

Artoria, or Altria in the games' official English translation, is the first collab character. As a playable unit in Honkai Star Rail, Saber will be a Wind Destruction character.

The only way to acquire Saber will be to pull her on her limited-time banner. She also has Eidolons like the rest of the HSR roster.

Archer - Emiya Shirou

The second collab character is Emiya Shirou. He will be a Quantum Hunt unit and is also a limited-time character like Saber. However, leaks suggest that you will be able to acquire him for free. If you want to progress his Eidolons, though, you'll have to obtain them through his banner.

The leaks put the collab going live soon: HSR version 3.4. If the updates follow their usual cadence, this patch will fall on July 2, 2025. This only barely falls into the third quarter of the year, which was the officially confirmed timeframe for the collab.

Again, this is unconfirmed information, but we can get some corroboration soon. As early as May 6, the drip marketing for new characters on version 3.4 could be posted. If these end up being Saber and Archer, then that means the leaks were correct. If they don't, then we're in for a surprise.
