XiaoT’s journey to the top

Before facing Cheng “DragonMan” Ka Sing in the grand finals, XiaoT used his decks to duke it out against players such as Frederik "Furyhunter" Møller, Yuhsin "GivePLZ" Pa and Tianming.

The matches were under the conquest format, which meant competitors brought four decks and four unique classes into the fray. Players dueled in best-of-five matches in eight rounds of swiss pairings before the top 16 bracket was determined. Afterwards, the top eight players battled for a place in the semifinals.

When it came down to the final, the first game was XiaoT’s OTK Demon Hunter versus DragonMan’s Garrote Rogue. XiaoT earned the first point during the midgame, and this was followed by another victory thanks to XiaoT’s Quest Warlock against Anacondra Druid. Although DragonMan had a board using Glowfly Swarm, it wasn’t enough as XiaoT built pressure and played minion after minion.
