Summer Masters Tour Championship, the second grand event for the Hearthstone esports year will happen this weekend and drops will be enabled!
Hearthstone has finally released the information about the incoming $50,000 Summer Masters Tour Championship, fans are happy they will be getting drops. On the other hand, the participants and the hardcore competitive community are worried about the lack of promotion of the event that will take place this weekend.

Hearthstone Summer Championship
The Summer Masters Tour Championship will be the final instance of the second Hearthstone esports season for 2023. With $50,000 in prizes and a World Championship invitation, this event will feature intense matches and only the best players. On top of that, fans will be able to earn free Hearthstone packs with Twitch Drops while watching.
The 16 players that made it into this event had to accumulate points via Ladder finishes in this second season. This is the full player list:
- Americas: uikyou* (Canada), DreadEye (US), GamerRvg* (US) and McBanterFace* (US)
- Europe: PocketTrain* (UK), reqvam* (Croatia), Meati* (UK) and RENMEN (Russia)
- APAC: gyu* (Korea), Tansoku* (Japan), hemlock* (Korea) and NAGON (Japan)
- Wildcards: Gaby (France), Casie* (Germany), Roulian (France) and iNS4NE (Ukraine)

How to get free packs with Twitch Drops during the Hearthstone Summer Championship
If you've been following the Hearthstone scene, you probably know how Twitch Drops work and have probably been farming free packs for this expansion. You can get 2 Titans Hearthstone packs for free during the weekend. Blizzard didn't specify how many hours you need to watch but it's probably 4 in total.
Drops will be available on the official Hearthstone broadcast on Twitch. These are the details:
- Dates: Saturday, August 19 - Sunday, August 20 at 9 am PDT
- Casters: Raven, Sottle, Dragonrider, TJ, and Lorinda
Don't forget to connect your Twitch and Battle.net accounts to receive Hearthstone drops
To do that, you need to go to your Battle.net account and scroll down to connect it to Twitch. After doing that, refresh the Hearthstone Spring Championship stream with active drops and start progressing toward your free packs.
To make sure everything is going fine and you will get your Hearthstone free packs, you can check your Twitch Inventory. In this Drops and Rewards section, you will see every detail about the Twitch Drops promotion and how much time you need to keep watching the Hearthstone Summer Championship streams to get those free Hearthstone packs.
Make sure that you claim your Hearthstone free packs after completing the viewing time. After that, the free packs earned via Twitch Drops should appear in your Hearthstone client.
