Hearthstone patch 29.0 reverts cards to original form

The latest Hearthstone patch notes feature a bunch of cards getting reverted back to their original form. Additionally, Hearthstone patch 29.0 includes updates to Battlegrounds, Arena, and more. Read on for details.

Hearthstone patch 29.0 notes

Hearthstone patch 29.0 features a bunch of adjusted cards. The majority of them are from the Standard game mode. However, these card updates are in anticipation of their rotation into the Wild game mode on March 19. March 19 is also the launch date of the Whizbang’s Workshop expansion.

Some examples of reverted cards include Wild Growth, Arcane Wyrm, School Teacher, Smothering Starfish, and Prince Renathal. Meanwhile, Halduron Brightwing, Switcheroo, Tome Tampering, and Mechwarper are either getting reverted or updated. The rest of the balance changes can be seen in the Core Set blog.

Hearthstone Battlegrounds and Arena updates

As for the Battlegrounds game mode, Greta Gold-Gun is now in the minion pool. Meanwhile, the new Arena season features cards from across every Hearthstone expansion. Each class has its own list of cards and the first pick in an Arena draft is a legendary one. Additionally, Duels Treasures are no longer in Arena drafts.

Signature cards receive new frame

Next, Signature cards from the Whizbang’s Workshop expansion have a new frame. "All current Signature cards will remain unchanged, but all future Signature cards will use this new frame," Blizzard added. The art style within each frame will update to match the feel and themes of each expansion."

Anniversary goodies, in-game event, and new hero skin

In terms of what else to expect, Whizbang’s Workshop is getting Catch-Up Packs, players can earn the special 10-Year Anniversary card back, and Whizbang’s Workshop is getting an event and rewards track. Moreover, starting March 19, Leeroy the Legend is going to be a new hero skin for the Paladin class.
