Murder at Castle Nathria is scheduled to launch on Aug. 2.

The next Hearthstone expansion is Murder at Castle Nathria, and Blizzard Entertainment revealed some intriguing murder mystery content ahead of the launch date.

The premise of Murder at Castle Nathria is Sire Denathrius throwing a dinner party before he met his demise. There are 10 prime suspects, and it’s up to Murloc Holmes and Dr. Watfin to solve the case!

“We’ve always wanted to do a murder mystery theme,” Hearthstone Lead Designer Liv Breeden said in an interview. “And around the time when we started developing it, Shadowlands had been out for a little bit, I think, and people were just really excited by the idea of the gothic architecture of Revendreth.”

Murder at Castle Nathria Suspects and Locations

Some of the suspects include Artificer Xy’Mox, Archvillain Rafaam, Baroness Draka, Decimator Olgra, Lady Vashj and Kel’Thuzad.

At the time of Sire Denathrius’ death, Ara’lon was in the Kennels and Sesselie was in the Hedge Maze. As for Lady Vashj, she claimed to be in the Muck Pools while Draka was in the Sinstone Cemetery.

The authors of the story are Christie Golden and Brandon Easton.

Some of Golden’s other works include World of Warcraft novels such as Lord of the Clans, Arthas: Rise of the Lich King and, most recently, Sylvanas. As Brandon Easton, he wrote Overwatch: Code of Violence and is an author of the Overwatch: Short Story Collection alongside Golden.
