Hearthstone Mini-Sets are mid-expansion content releases that spice up the metagame by adding 35 new cards. The first time we saw a Hearthstone Mini-Set was in January 2021 with the Darkmoon Races mini-set for the Madness at the Darkmoon Faire expansion.
For experience, Mini-Sets costs 2000 Gold or $14.99 and include the following pool of cards:
- 4 Legendary cards
- 1 Epic card
- 14 Rare cards
- 16 Common cards

These are not just wild guesses. Two key indicators point towards the announcement coming next week and the set launching a few days after. Let me explain.
Hearthstone Mini-Set timings
While the past doesn't predict the future, we can draw some solid conclusions based on existing trends. Minisets come with every X.4 Hearthstone patch, as the former Hearthstone Game Director, Dean Ayala, explained. Usually, they go live approximately two months after the expansion launch.

Blizzard, like every company, loves making money. While Hearthstone players can still buy the Mini-Set with Gold, they make sure to try to empty their pockets as much as possible before the announcement.
Thus, the Heroic Tavern Brawl is an undeniable indicator that a Hearthstone Mini-Set is coming. The two previous editions of this 1000 Gold per ticket event took place just a week before Mini-sets.
Time will prove me right or wrong, but I stick to my gut, and my gut tells me that Hearthstone should be announcing the March of the Lich King expansion Mini-Set next week. Furthermore, that said Mini-Set should be going live 14 days from now, exactly for Valentine's Day.
