Hearthstone Festival of Legends Theorycrafting streams are coming up with Twitch Drops enabled

The Festival of Legends Theorycrafting event is coming to warm up the crowd with Twitch Drops and Hearthstone Mega Bundle giveaways!

Hearthstone announced that Theorycrafting streams return for the Festival of Legends expansion. During April 5 and 6, some streamers will be able to test the new instruments coming.

This Theorycrafting show will have something for everyone, with Twitch Drops giving out free packs and streamers giving away Festival of Legends Megabundles. Let's go over the details.

Festival of Legends Theorycrafting streams

The usual -and somewhat controversial- theorycrafting event for the Festival of Legends will start on April 5 and will last for almost 24 hours. During the Theorycrafting event, some content creators will get early access to the new Festival of Legends expansion.

Streamers will be divided into three groups depending on their region and time zones. If you have a favorite player, make sure you know when they are going live:

  • Americas/EMEA players will pick one of two time slots on April 5, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (PT) or 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (PT)
  • APAC players will play on April 6, 2:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. (PT) / 6:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. (KST)

Theorycrafting rules

With the idea of highlighting the new Festival of Legends cards, this Theorycrafting event has some deckbuilding restrictions. Players have to include at least 10 Festival of Legends cards in each deck (counting duplicates).

This rule encourages participants to explore the possibilities that the new content brings. However, this time is not like they have many other options. The Festival of Legends expansion will bring the Hearthstone annual set rotation, so during the Theorycrafting only the sets from 2022 and 2023 -plus the updated core set- will be eligible to play.

No Wild Theorycrafting

For the first time, there will be no Wild event. Alkali, part of the Hearthstone Community Manager team, gave Wild fans some comfort: "You may not see Wild in this event but stay tuned! We've got plans."

Hearthstone Twitch Drops & giveaways during Festival of Legends Theorycrafting streams

Much like when a band throws some cool merch to their fans at the edge of the stage, Hearthstone is giving away some free goods too. During the Theorycrafting event, viewers can earn up to 2 Festival of Legends packs.

Moreover, the players participating in the Theorycrafting event will be giving away Festival of Legends Mega Bundles to their viewers. Make sure you check out who is part of the event for a chance to get 80 free packs!

How to connect your Twitch and Battle.net account

To do that, you need to go to your Battle.net account and scroll down to connect it to Twitch. After doing that, refresh any Hearthstone stream with active drops and start progressing toward your free packs.

To make sure everything is going fine and you will get your Hearthstone free packs, you can check your Twitch Inventory. In this Drops and Rewards section, you will see every detail about the Twitch Drops promotion and how much time you need to keep watching to get those free Hearthstone packs.

Make sure that you claim your free packs after completing the viewing time. After that, the free packs earned via Twitch Drops should appear in your Hearthstone client. Bear in mind that the Festival of Legends packs can't be open until April 11 when the expansion releases.

That's all for now, hope you enjoy the show and the free loot. Stay tuned to esports.gg for more Hearthstone news and updates. See you next time in the tavern.
