Save the date, Hearthstone Esports’ has just revealed on Twitter the dates for the Summer Championship for Constructed and Battlegrounds.

The Hearthstone Esports calendar for the Summer Championship events has been revealed. After a rough start, things seem to begin to normalize, and this time Hearthstone Esports announced the dates for the upcoming $50,000 Summer Championship tournaments more than a month in advance.

With the qualification period still open, many players are battling for a spot in the second Seasonal tournaments for 2023. Let's go over the dates and details you need to know.

Hearthstone Esports Summer Championship

The Hearthstone Esports year consists of six Seasonal events -Spring, Summer, and Fall- and a World Championship. Each season features a Constructed and a Battlegrounds Lobby Legends event, each with $50,000 in prizes, and the first one awards a World Championship spot.

The Spring Seasonal events are already over, and it's time for Hearthstone Esports fans to mark their calendars for the Summer Championships.

  • Lobby Legends Summer Championship: July 22-23
  • Masters Tour Summer Championship: August 19-20

The fact that the Summer Championship dates were revealed in advance was well-received by the Hearthstone esports community. Especially after what happened with the Spring Championship, in which qualified players had less than a three-week notice.

"Love that they listened to us and announced the dates early this time, credit where credit's due"

Qualification and Formats

The qualification period for those events is not over yet. Hearthstone Esports' Summer Season qualification ends with the June season. So players are still fighting for their spots.

16 players will make it to it the Hearthstone Esports Summer Championships and the way in is the same for Constructed and Battlegrounds.

The top 4 point earners for the current season for each server will get an invite to the event. On top of that, the Top 4 point earners worldwide who aren't already qualified will also be part of the event.

The Masters Tour Constructed Summer Championship will feature four Dual-Tournament groups, with four players each, into a Single Elimination Top 8 playoff bracket.

The Battlegrounds Lobby Legends Summer Championship Tournament will be exactly like every other Hearthstone Esports BG event in the past. Two 8-player groups with the top 4 of each advancing to a final lobby that will feature the Check Format.

Five months have passed since the harsh announcement that came with a 70% cut, and after a rough start, things are beginning to return to a more normal state. The Spring Seasonal Championship viewership proved that Hearthstone Esports fans are still supporting these events now that they are on Twitch.

While it's still too early to start building hype, I just want to say that Hearthstone Esports events usually happen close to big content releases, so watch out for the Summer Championship dates!
