Hearthstone Badlands Recipe Tavern Brawl

The Badlands Recipe Tavern Brawl showcases deck recipes from the new expansion. Players have a week to test out these new decks and earn a free Standard card pack. To participate in this Tavern Brawl, simply launch Hearthstone, select the "Tavern Brawl" option in the main menu, choose a class, and enter the fray!

This particular Tavern Brawl doesn't require players to create their own decks. Instead, players are offered a pre-built one. These pre-built decks include cards from the Showdown in the Badlands expansion, which introduces the new Quickdraw and Excavate keywords.

Outlaws versus townsfolk in Hearthstone

While each outlaw class has a legendary minion that rewards decks without duplicates, the townsfolk classes excel with the Excavate keyword.

"We've got the classes that are allied with the mining company. The townsfolk get to do Excavate. Cards that say Excavate, when you play them, you get really awesome treasures from the mine," Hearthstone game designer Leo Robles Gonzalez told esports.gg in an interview. "The more that you Excavate the rarer and more powerful the treasures get until you get to the very end of the mine."

During the interview, Gonzalez and lead narrative designer Valerie Chu also detailed the inspiration behind the new expansion.

That's all for now. Are you excited to ride into the Wild West that is Showdown in the Badlands? Stick around on esports.gg for more news and updates!
