Hallow’s End arrives early in Hearthstone with free Nightmare Zail and cards

Hearthstone's Halloween event arrived early this year with free card packs up for grabs. Players can also unlock Nightmare Zail for free! Here's everything to know about the 2025 Hearthstone Hallow's End event, including all of the quests, completion requirements, and rewards.

From Sept. 29 to Oct. 14, Hearthstone players can participate in some Hallow's End shenanigans. To get started, simply launch the card game and head into your quest log. You should then get the invitation that grants access to a limited-time rewards track.

You should also see some special Hallow's End quests that result in Event XP. The Zombification one, for example, requires you to summon 850 minions in traditional Hearthstone game modes. After completing this one, you must then start Witch's Cauldon, which requires you to cast spells. Finally, the Blood Suckers quest requires healing a total of 325 health.

Don't forget about the daily quests, either. In our case, we have the one that requires us to cast 10 Fel or Shadow spells. If your daily quest isn't to your liking, then you can reroll it by pressing the red icon in the top-right corner of the quest card.

By earning enough Event XP, you can get a couple of free card packs, a bunch of free Hearthstone cards, one random legendary card, plus Nightmare Zail as a hero skin for the Warlock class. Below are all the Event XP milestones and their corresponding Hallow's End rewards.
