Dark Wanderer Tavern Brawl

Starting June 7 and June 14, Hearthstone players can jump into the Diablo-themed Tavern Brawl and duke it out against the Dark Wanderer. This game mode features a boss battle that saves your progression even after a loss.

"Progression is saved within each week’s Tavern Brawl, not across both weeks," Blizzard explained in a post. "This is one Tavern Brawl run twice in a row, not a [two-week] long Tavern Brawl. Your first time defeating Diablo each week will grant you one Standard [pack]."

The "return" of the Tavern Brawl implies similar gameplay to the original one that debuted in 2017. That Tavern Brawl involved a Secret Cow Level, a lot of Warlock cards, unique Secrets, and Imps galore.

Hearthstone Diablo 4 Lilith card back

After you defeat Diablo for the first time in the 2023 Dark Wanderer Tavern Brawl, you'll get a special card back based on Lilith from Diablo 4. Over on Twitter, Blizzard shared what this card back will look like as well.

In that newly-released game, Lilith is the "Mother of Sanctuary" who awakens the true desires of those around her. One's fears, rage, impulses, and desires all are revealed in a violent manner thanks to her mere presence. This particular Tavern Brawl celebrates the arrival of Diablo 4.
